How to Get the Most from the Best Abdominal Exercise Equipments

High among people's list of goals when they begin a fitness program is to have toned and flat abs. Toned abs are definitely an indicator of a person in great shape. Most women experience flabby stomachs after childbirth which usually takes much work to transform into trimmed abs especially after a second childbirth. There is an endless list of abs exercise equipment and abs exercise routines. However the question becomes which abs exercise routine or exercise equipment will bring you the most reward?

A flabby belly or even pot-belly can lead to an unnecessary level of self consciousness. After watching one of those TV ads showing a size zero model in a skimpy bikini top with flat abs being chased down a deserted beach by a muscle toned guy with a rock hard six-pack, it's hard not to feel inadequate if you have a little pouch hanging down there. It's undeniable that the use of an abdominal exercise machine like a Ab Toner Trainer will aid in your pursuit of a toned and trimmed stomach. However the fulfilment of this goal depends on one thing.

This one thing is linked to what mindset you have regarding your health and fitness. Are you willing to cut out any junk food that does not help with your dietary requirements? Are you willing to embark on a lifelong journey where you treat your body as a temple and give it the tender care it needs with healthy foods and regular exercises? The sad reality is that most people who begin a fitness exercise program start out all hyped up and enthusiastic but after they've achieved their fitness goals, they ease off and before long return to their previous weight or dress size. You have to go beyond just using an abdominal machine and realise its just a little part of a big picture - staying healthy and fit.

There are many ways to stay and keep fit. Perhaps you haven't maintained a fitness exercise routine for a long time and are thinking of getting back into the groove of regular aerobic and anaerobic exercises. Well, think twice before jumping in at the deep end because after a long absence from regular fitness exercises, use of an abdominal exercise machine could lead to serious injury. You don't have to kill yourself in an attempt to get fit. Getting into a regular habit of walking will be a nice way to get your body ready for the more rigorous abs exercises.

Don't despair if you are overweight and feel any efforts towards losing weight will be an exercise in futility. Remember little drops of water make a mighty ocean, so start today to do the basics and move on from there. I think we tend to be over critical and self conscious of ourselves than is necessary.

Most people who see you regularly doing sit ups and busting your gut on the abs exercise machine at your local gym, in spite of your flabby stomach will be impressed. And if they're not, its because they're too focused on their own fitness goals to notice you. So there's no need to hide in your cave like a bear in hibernation. Get out there and start taking those steps towards achieving your dream abs.

Before you make a purchase on your next abs exercise machine, take some time to do your research and see what's out there. Visiting your gym could be a good start as you can see people using it and even ask them what they think of the particular machine they're using. And don't be deceived into thinking that you'll get the same results from doing sit-ups compared to using an abdominal exercise machine. There's so much use you can derive from an abdominals and core exercise machine and I wonder if you're ready to discover how?

Your comments as always are most welcome.

5 Mistakes to Avoid to Achieve Your Fitness Training Program

The Weight loss and Fitness training industries experience their highest surge of demand during the months of January and February. Its no coincidence that chief among people's New Year resolutions is the desire to either lose weight or get in better shape physically.

However, there is a noticeable decline in gym memberships, discount fitness equipment sales and weight loss program enrolments as the year progresses. Why does all that enthusiasm and energy towards pursuing a healthier body and shedding excess pounds fizzle out as the year unravels? Well, in speaking to a lot of people I have discovered that there are 5 main reasons why people quit their fitness and weight loss programs. Below are the chief reasons and ways you can overcome them

Reason 1 - No Plan

You've heard the statement 'Failing to plan is planning to fail' Well, this rings very true for your fitness training and weight loss program. The number one reason people abandon their exercise regimes is because they do not set out any structure, diet timetable, budget etc towards their intended goals. Before you begin your next fitness program, first of all decide what you want to achieve. Is it weight loss or a more toned figure? Then map out how you are going to achieve these goals. This will give you the motivation to keep going on those rainy and dark days when you feel like giving up.

Reason 2 - Keep a journal

While your progress might not seem apparent when you step onto the scale on Day 2 of your fitness program, the fact is progress has been made. This is another reason why people give up so soon on their fitness dreams. They finish a hard day at the gym plus starve themselves of their chocolate fix only to hit the scales and realize no weight has been loss. In some instances, weight gain could even be noted!

This is only normal when you begin a fitness program. Keeping a journal to chart your progress will give you inspiration to continue at that turning point when most people give up. Just imagine yourself kicking back on Day 57 and realize in amazement that over the past 7 weeks you've either lost 20 pounds, lifted an extra 30 kg in your daily work out session or can now fit into that dress you wore as care-free teenager. Your journal should include a commentary on your daily workout sessions, weight, exercise variations, number of reps and goals towards your next workout.

Reason 3 - Outrageous Goals

Its been said that most people overestimate what they can accomplish in a year and underestimate what they can accomplish in a decade. This rings so true for most people's weight loss and fitness program goals. Some people want to go from barely being able to walk up a flight of stairs without fainting to running the London Marathon…in 4 weeks! Its just not going to happen. Set realistic and achievable goals and as you master each task you set yourself, you'll feel an inner sense of pride that will inspire you to do more.

Reason 4 - No Fitness Training Partner

I think we can all relate to this. One of the main reasons we all desire to stay fit and get into great shape is for the attention we'll get from family, friends and strangers. However the journey towards getting that body to die for can be a hard and lonely one. And without a partner to inspire and encourage you in moments of weakness, most of us abandon our weight loss or fitness training programs.

That's why having a partner - either a spouse, friend or colleague join you in your workout sessions can prove the difference between short term success or long term victory. Even being in the same room with other motivated people in a gym setting can do wonders for your personal commitment towards your goals.

Reason 5 - Zero Fun Approach

Getting fit and doing exercises should be fun and not approached as a chore or punishment meted out by your worst high school teacher. Chill out. Inject some fun into your fitness program. You could wear a different color of gym clothes for different days of the week. Take a different path when you go jogging in the morning. Try mixing and matching the number of reps you do combined with heavier or smaller weights etc the list is endless. You find something new and exciting to add to your workout plan and avoid monotony like the plague. Workout sessions should be moments you look forward to and not dread.

So there it is. 5 reasons most people quit their fitness or weight loss programs and how you can overcome these roadblocks towards obtaining that body you've always dreamed of. Prepare, keep a journal, set realistic and measurable goals, get a friend or colleague to join you on your fitness ride and inject some fun. Getting fit shouldn't just be a January or February thing. Your body needs good loving 365 days of the year. To your success.

Eliminate the 7 Common Reasons Stopping You From Starting a Fitness and Weight Loss Program

Health is Wealth
Now everyone has heard the above statement at some point or the other. What is the use of having all the money or friends in the world if you do not have the good health to enjoy it and them. Sometimes it takes a major event in our lives to realize how important our health is to us. Below are the five common excuses people give people and how you can squash them once and for all if you use these excuses yourselves.

Reason 1 - I do not have time
This is a classic and often used excuse. I think most people use this excuse because they think keeping fit has to involve signing up to a gym membership, buy some expensive Home gym equipment or dedicating massive chunks of their time to their fitness program. Well I have good news for you. You only need to commit 5 minutes each day. And you do not need to join the gym or buy expensive gym equipment. Something as simple as 5 sets of push ups or press ups or even brisk walking up and down your block is all you need to start with.

Reason 2 - No available Fitness Equipment
If this is your excuse, then paying a monthly fee to a gym could definitely solve this problem. While building a home gym could solve any time constraints you may have, it could be a bit expensive if you want to get a wide range of cardio-vascular, weight lifting, boxing etc range of equipment. Signing up to the gym will solve this excuse. Easy.

Reason 3 - I do not have the money for Gym membership
Well if you are ready to join a gym, then it shows you have the commitment to start a fitness program. Definitely a good start. But do not allow a lack of funds stifle your desire to keep and stay fit. Like I mentioned in Reason 1, a run around your block or in the park will be a great way to start. Also if you are interested in building muscle, all you need are a set of Discount Neoprene dumbbells and you are ready to go. May I also add that you can get dumbbells these days at great prices.

Reason 4 - Need a Fitness Instructor

If this is your excuse then my answer is very simple. Enquire at your local gym and I can guarantee they will be very happy to assign a fitness instructor to help you with your fitness program. Ensure you know what you want to achieve with your fitness instructor, otherwise you might end up wasting his/her time.

Reason 5 - I am too Fat
This is one excuse that stops a lot of people from starting their fitness regime. They think that things have gone so bad that - Why bother even trying? If you are in this boat, then I want to eliminate this lie once and for all. You are never going to lose that excess weight until you start doing something about it. Also nothing is ever as bad as it first appears. People with unimaginable obesity issues have lost and maintained their new weight after a diligent commitment to a fitness and dieting program. If they can, so can you. Do not allow this lie stop you from living and enjoying the life you so deserve. Start today to make plans to begin your fitness program.

Reason 6 - I am Happy with the way I Look
Then you better start a fitness program going to maintain what you got. The last thing you want is to become complacent and start struggling to regain your shape and look. As you may or may not know, it is so much easier gaining it than losing it.

Reason 7 - You can add your own excuse here
And squash it like a stubborn tomato playing in a bath tub full of teenage hungry elephants.

So there you have it. 7 reasons people give to delay or avoid starting their fitness program and ways to overcome them. Your fitness will allow you to enjoy and live the life you so deserve. You can begin with a 5 minute daily session and build up from there. Your Fitness Matters. Take it seriously.

Tips for Choosing Gym Quality Fitness Equipment for Your Home Use

If you've been to health clubs and gyms before, you must have admired a few fitness equipment that have worked so well with your fitness routine. Now that you're ready to invest in some serious exercise routine from your home, you're probably wondering where to find gym-quality home fitness equipment.

If you're a little bit confused, you're not alone. With so many home fitness equipment that claim to be the best alternative to gym quality fitness machines, it's easy to get lost in the choices. But with a little patience and some research, you'll find the perfect home fitness equipment that is the best for your fitness needs. Here's how:

Know your fitness goals

One of the biggest mistakes you could ever make is to buy the biggest, meanest gym quality fitness equipment monster there is simply because it's the best looking one in the store. The truth is, picking a home fitness equipment is like picking a partner to marry. What could be perfect for one could be disastrous for another.

Keep your fitness goals in mind when shopping for a home fitness equipment. Take note of the physical activities you enjoy doing. For example, if you're only trying to shed a few pounds and like hiking, a treadmill is the obvious choice. If you want to burn calories and target your lower body for toning, a stationary bike will fit your needs perfectly. Don't buy more fitness equipment than you need or they'll just end up gathering dust in a corner of your house.

Quality comes with a price

Gym quality home fitness equipment is not cheap and there's a reason why they come with a high price tag. They are built to last and withstand the constant wear-and-tear they will be put under with regular use. For gym equipment to survive this much punishment, it has to be made with the toughest materials and pass stringent manufacturing specifications.

If you're serious about getting fit using home gym equipment, then you probably have set aside a budget for it. Depending on your need, you will have a choice of gym quality home fitness equipment that starts at a reasonable $500 or you can go for the high-end home equipment that is priced at over $3000.

If your budget is at the range of a few hundred dollars, there is still a way to keep fit. Invest in several weights, a step trainer and a few workout videos. These will help you get started on a home fitness routine without the big machines.

However, while this alternative is cheaper, it does not offer the same fitness challenge that gym quality fitness equipment can. Once you get used to the exercise routine, you either have to up the challenge by purchasing new videos or just give up and get yourself a brand new fitness machine.

Go with the rave reviews

If there's a gym equipment that you like, you can try to find a duplicate for home use at many fitness stores. Many health club fitness equipment manufacturers develop machines for home use that are gym quality as well. So if a particular brand suits you fine, you might try to get its home edition equipment not only for its familiarity but also for the assurance of quality it offers.

Ask your gym instructor for recommendations or your friends for gym equipment reviews. Do your research over the internet or in fitness magazines and find the best home fitness equipment that will suit your taste and budget. Don't purchase fitness equipment sight-unseen, even if it claims to be gym quality. Many complaints about the performance of the machine do not appear until after you've test-run it for at least 20 minutes.

Try out the fitness equipment to see how you will perform. If it has a high learning curve, you probably will lose the motivation to use it. What looks effortless on TV may be very difficult to execute during actual use. Don't be carried away with hard selling or clever marketing ploys. If a manufacturer claims that their home fitness product is gym quality, you should be the best judge of that, no one else.

Getting gym quality home fitness equipment is a true assignment for any health buff or health buff-to-be. Arm yourself with the right kind of information and shop around for the features that you know you will be making use of. Furthermore, once you buy a home fitness equipment, make sure to put it to good use. If it's a gym-quality machine, it deserves to be treated as such.

Fitness Daddy here from Fitness Equipment Box. Hope you're well on this misty Monday Morning.

Discovered this beauty in my mail box over the weekend and wanted to share it with you.

Lose 10 Pounds, 20 Pounds or even 70 Pounds in 5 Days

A guy calls a company and orders their 5-day, 10 lb. weight loss program.

The next day, there's a knock on the door and there stands before him a voluptuous, athletic, 19 year old babe dressed in nothing but a pair of Nike running shoes and a sign around her neck.

She introduces herself as a representative of the weight loss company.

The sign reads, 'If you can catch me, you can have me.'

Without a second thought, he takes off after her. A few miles later huffing and puffing, he finally gives up.

The same girl shows up for the next four days and the same thing happens. On the fifth day, he weighs himself and is delighted to find he has lost 10 lbs. as promised.

He calls the company and orders their 5-day/20 pound pro gram.

The next day there's a knock at the door and there stands the most stunning, beautiful, sexy woman he has ever seen in his life.. She is wearing nothing but Reebok running shoes and a sign around her neck that reads, 'If you catch me you can have me'.

Well, he's out the door after her like a shot. This girl is in excellent shape and he does his best, but no such luck.. So for the next four days, the same routine happens with him gradually getting in better and better shape.

Much to his delight on the fifth day when he weighs himself, he discovers that he has lost another 20 lbs. as promised. He decides to go for broke and calls the company to order the 7-day/50 pound program

'Are you sure?' asks the representative on the phone. 'This is our most rigorous program.'

'Absolutely,' he replies, 'I haven't felt this good in years.'

The next day there's a knock at the door; and when he opens it he finds a huge muscular guy standing there wearing nothing but pink running shoes and a sign around his neck that reads, 'If I catch you, your ass is mine!'

He lost 63 pounds that week.

7 Legitimate Reasons Not to Begin a Fitness Routine

Fitness Daddy here from Fitness Equipment Box. Hope you're doing great on this wonderful day.

I have one question for you today.

What's Stopping You From Having a Daily Fitness Routine?

Now Before you answer, I thought of the best 7 I've heard over the years (even some I'm sad to say I've used in the past). I'm going to crush each reason like stubborn tomato playing in a bathtub full of angry and hungry elephants.

Here goes!

Reason 1 - I don't have time

Give me a break and throw me a freaking bone while you're at it! But you do have time for one more go on your Nintendo Wii. And you have the time to spend watching the YouTube video of the 3-legged cat sliding down the electrocuted barbed wire fence. And you have the time for a date with Jay Leno almost every night.
Well, if you can find the time for Jay, then you can definitely create sometime for your body.

Reason 2 - I don't have Fitness Equipment

Ever heard of a gym?

Reason 3 - I don't have the money for Gym membership

Ever heard of putting on your trainers and running down your block. 5 sets of push-ups won't hurt either

Reason 4 - Need a Fitness Instructor

No you need a dose of Jim Rohn to waken you to your true potential. And anything Uncle Jim cant make you do or discover for yourself, a Fitness Instructor sure ain't gonna either

Reason 5 - I'm too Fat

Duh ! That's why you need to start the journey towards regaining your 6-pack or model body like yesterday. Little drops of water make a mighty ocean. Every 5 minute session and neglected chocolate bar counts.

Reason 6 - I'm Happy with the way I Look

Then you better get a fitness program going to maintain what you got

Reason 7 - I'll leave that to you. Post your most legitimate excuse and squash it like that stubborn tomato

Have an outstanding day

Weight Lifting Exercises for Beginners : Dumbbell Biceps Curl

Weight Lifting Equipment - What You Need to Start Weight Training

Weight Lifting Equipment - What You Need to Start Weight Training
By Robert J. Paul

Weight training is a type of strength training that provides a great way to get in shape, it can make you stronger, more lean and make you feel better overall. When combined with aerobic exercise and a healthy diet you may be surprised at the results you can achieve.

Don't confuse weight training with bodybuilding or power lifting. Weight training uses the resistance of weights to strengthen your muscles often targeting specific muscle groups; this exercise is meant for anyone who wants to stay in shape. Bodybuilding and power lifting are specific sports that often involve competitions.

Choosing Weight Lifting Equipment
If you want to start weight training at home you will need some weight lifting equipment. But before you go out and invest too much money in a bunch of equipment you may want to try a few different types at your local gym so you get the feel of it and get a better idea of what you may want.

If you are just getting started the main weight lifting equipment you will need will be a weight bench, a set of dumbbells and maybe an exercise mat. Depending on your specific needs and goals you may need additional pieces of weight lifting equipment, but these will give you a great start because of the versatility of exercises you can preform with just these items. With these things you can work out your arms, legs, back, shoulders, chest and abs.

Adjustable Dumbbells
If you are short of space or if you want a set of dumbbells that is more versatile you may want to consider getting adjustable dumbbells. Adjustable dumbbells are great because in what looks like a single pair of dumbbells you get a a full set with a range of weights. You simply adjust the setting on the dumbbells and adjust the weight depending on the exercise you are preforming and depending on your progress. They are also great for households with multiple users because they are so easy to adjust.

Weight training is great for your overall health from you muscles to your bones and all you need is a few pieces of weight lifting equipment to get started.

Finding the best Weight Lifting Equipment for the best price can be challenging. Let me do the work for you. Visit my site for the most comprehensive guides to weight lifting equipment and Adjustable Dumbbells.
